Setting up a Review Text

Reviews are an important for any business.  Many potential customers will choose to book with you based on a review from a past customer.  BookingCentral offers an easy way for you to get reviews for your services by sending an automatic text to your customer with a review link after their booking.

To enable the review text and customize the settings, Go to Settings - Configuration - SMS.

In the Review Text section, select Add to get started.

The Review Flow window will give you options to customize your review feature including:

  • Name:  Enter the name for the Review Flow.  This system will default to the Location name, but can be edited as needed
  • Text Message: This is the message that your customers will receive when they get the text message. You can edit the default text here.
  • Rating Screen: You can choose which type of Rating you want to use for the review link.  Options include:
    • 1-5 Rating.  Select Customize to choose the text for each number on the rating scale as well as an appropriate icon. You can edit the default text here.
    • Good/Bad Rating. This option will show a happy face (Good) or a sad face (Bad).
  • Rating Message: This is the message that will show with instructions on how to rate the experience.  You can edit the default text here.

Review Actions

Once you've set your rating screen options, then you can now decide how the system will handle the rating when selected.  You'll have two options to decide: Positive Rating & Negative Rating.

Positive Rating

Settings include:

Minimum Rating: You can select the minimum rating score that you consider a positive rating if using the rating scale option.

Message: You can choose to add a custom message that will show when a positive rating is chosen.  Or remove a message altogether.

If a customer chooses a positive rating, then you can choose what the next Action will be.  Options include:

  • Go to a review site. You will add your business review link such as Google, Yelp, or TripAdvisor.  If this action is chosen, then the customer will be redirected to the URL added to complete a public review on that site.
  • Ask for customer feedback. This option will provide a text box where the customer to add additional feedback.  This feedback will not be public, but only seen in the system.
  • Do nothing. Once the rating is given, there will be no additional action.

Negative Rating

If a customer choose a rating score that is below the minimum rating or a Bad rating, then you can choose the following settings:

Message: You can choose to add a custom message that will show when a negative rating is chosen.  Or remove a message altogether.

If a customer chooses a negative rating, then you can choose what the next Action will be.  Options include:

  • Go to a review site. You will add your business review link such as Google, Yelp, or TripAdvisor.  If this action is chosen, then the customer will be redirected to the URL added to complete a public review on that site.
  • Ask for customer feedback. This option will provide a text box where the customer to add additional feedback.  This feedback will not be public, but only seen in the system.
  • Do nothing. Once the rating is given, there will be no additional action.

Select OK to finish the setup, and then Save your updates on the SMS Settings screen.
