Enable Settings for Online Pre-Check In

Pre-Check In allows you to get necessary information from your customers after they book with you and before the arrive to start their rental or activity. This information included is details such as:

  • Passenger/Participant Information
  • Emergency Contact Information
  • Waivers
  • Document Upload (Driver's License,  Insurance Documents)

Boating Safety Law that was passed in June 2022 in Florida and is in effect for all boat rental operators in FL on January 1, 2023.

Enable Pre-Check In

To take advantage of this feature, you first have to enable Pre-Check in:

  • Go to Settings - Orders
  • Select the Pre-Check In tab
  • Check to Enable Pre-Check In
  • To Edit the instructions, select Edit Instructions
    • add custom labels and text for each option
  • Save the page

Activate Pre-Check In Options

Once enabled, you can activate the options you want included in the Pre-Check In:

Customer Address:

  • Go to Settings - Orders
  • Select the Customer Fields Tab
  • Set the Address to be Optional or Required

Emergency Contact:

  • Go to Settings - Orders
  • Select the Customer Fields Tab
  • Set the Emergency Contact to Optional or Required
  • Select the checkbox if you want emergency contact and participant information to be optional when creating orders through the backend.

Participant Information:

  • Go to Settings - Rentals or Tickets
  • Select the product to Edit
  • Select the Participant tab
  • Check the box, "Include number of participants"
  • Add additional participant fields as needed

If you leave the Selected Fields blank, then the platform will ask for a count of how many participants during checkout only. No additional fields will be included in the Pre-Check In form.

Waivers:

To add a waiver from your Smartwaiver account, see how to here. Once waivers have been integrated into your system, follow the steps below to assign the waiver to your rentals/activities.

  • Go to Settings - Rentals or Tickets
  • Select the product to Edit
  • Select the Waivers tab
  • Assign the Waiver that you want added for this rental/activity
