What the Mobile App Is Used For
The mobile app focuses on real-time operational work that your staff needs to do when customers are on site:
Check In and Check Out Rentals Happening Today
Easily check customers in when they arrive and check them out when they return — right from your phone. This helps you keep track of which rentals are currently out and which are still pending return. It’s ideal for busy mornings and fast turnarounds.
View Today’s Rentals and Fleet Status
See what’s currently booked, what’s out in the field, and what’s scheduled to return — all in real time. This snapshot helps you manage staffing and inventory flow throughout the day.
Handle Customer-Facing Tasks on the Spot
Capture damage photos/videos and document any issues before and after a rental.
Authorize damage deposits using the card on file (or add a new card).
Upsell add-ons at the dock or lot — like tubes, coolers, or extra gear — even after an order was originally created.
Add gratuity for guides, captains, or delivery teams.
Operate Without Extra Hardware

What the Mobile App Is Not For

Viewing Orders Across the Calendar
You cannot browse bookings beyond today’s operations in the app (e.g., future dates or a full calendar view). For that, use the web app’s calendar and orders tools.
Editing Rental Details or Pricing
Changes to key booking information like rental units, pricing, start/end times, or rental durations are managed in the web application, not the mobile app.
Settings & Setup
Tasks such as creating orders, adjusting pricing or other rental settings, setting up waivers or running reports, and configuring fleet settings must be done in the main BookingCentral web platform.
