How are my existing bookings affected?

It is important to note that when you switch payment processors, existing booking are affected in a few ways described below:

  • Cards on file with existing booking will not be able to be charged to since the original transactions were made with previous processor. If you need to charge the balance or additional fees, you will have to collect the credit card again from the customer.
  • Damage Authorizations on existing bookings will not work with the card on file. You will have to collect the credit card from the customer to authorize the damage deposit.
  • Refunds will work on existing bookings, but only if you keep the previous processor account open. It is recommended to keep the previous processor open for some time after you make the switch in order to accommodate for orders changes on bookings that used the previous processor for payments.
